MAS

The certificate courses CAS, DAS and MAS in Sleep, Consciousness and Related Disorders are intended for professionals with a degree in health-related disciplines, natural science or engineering who wish to gain an in-depth knowledge of sleep medicine.

The Master of Medical Education program Bern (MME Bern) is a part-time, postgraduate Master of advanced studies in medical education provided by the Medical Faculty of the University of Bern. The study program follows a systematic, evidence-based approach and thus prepares participants for the growing demands in initial and continuing education in the healthcare sector.

In addition to the topics covered in the CRHCO, LHCO, and MMHCO CAS programs, more advanced topics are covered leading to the MAS LLHCO.

This continuing education program is offered by the Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine (sitem-Insel AG). The sitem-Insel School aims to promote researchers and train executives in the fields of translational medicine and biomedical entrepreneurship. Participants should have an MSc or higher degree in life sciences, medicine, biomedical engineering or similar.

In addition to the goals of the DAS in Translational Medicine and the CAS in Biomedical Entrepreneurship, the participants will be able to put into practice and reflect on a challenging project in translational medicine as part of their MAS work

A 3-year, full-time program (180 ECTS), which combines all surgical and prosthodontic aspects of implant dentistry. The postgraduate students usually spend one year in the Department of Oral Surgery and two years in the Department of Reconstructive Dentistry and Gerodontology.

A 4-year, full-time program (240 ECTS), which aims to provide dentists with a solid evidence-based academic education and broad, high-level clinical training in order to become specialists in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

A 3-year, full-time program (180 ECTS), which teaches postgraduate students theoretically and clinically in evidence-based cariology and restorative dentistry, endodontology as well as pediatric dentistry. The structured curriculum consists of weekly lectures and seminars as well as daily clinical training supervised by experienced instructors.

A 3-year, full-time program (180 ECTS), which provides a thorough and comprehensive clinical and theoretical training in all aspects of oral surgery as well as the surgical aspects of implant dentistry. The postgraduate students follow a strict curriculum with a gradually increasing level of difficulty and challenge according to SAC classifications.

 3-year, full-time program (180 ECTS), which aims to provide dentists with a broad high-level clinical training in periodontology and implant dentistry as well as a solid evidence-based academic education in order to become specialists in Periodontology.

Participants in this advanced training course acquire sound knowledge in the field of regulatory affairs of medical technology and diagnostics products. They become familiar with European and international guidelines and are able to implement these efficiently and correctly at all stages of product development. In addition, extensive experience with the application of these guidelines is being gained by carrying out a challenging project as part of the Master thesis.

A 3-year, full-time program (180 ECTS), which integrates advanced clinical and theoretical training in reconstructive dentistry/-dental implant therapy and its associated disciplines within a strict and structured curriculum. The MAS REC and IMP Unibe provides the basis with which a dentist can become a Swiss federal specialist in Reconstructive Dentistry SSO.
