The Medical Faculty offers excellent opportunities for cutting edge and state-of the art research. The spectrum ranges from basic and translational research within the preclinical institutions, the Clinics for Dental Medicine ZMK and the Department for BioMedical Research (DBMR), which provides ideal facilities including infrastructure and technical support for all researchers working at Inselspital and the University Psychiatric Services UPD and the Clinics for Dental Medicine ZMK. Clinical and patient-oriented research is supported by the Clinical Trial Unit (CTU), which is affiliated to the Department for Clinical Research (DCR) - currently being established.
