My life/work motto

“The journey is the destination.”

My research

My research focuses on three key areas: global mental health, psychiatric genetics, and health services research. One of my main concerns is strengthening healthcare provision in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) through training programs and the sustainable expansion of research infrastructure.

My particular skills/experiences

Through my studies in medicine, political science, and economics, I am particularly interested in translating scientific findings into clinical practice, social structures, and political decision-making processes. My goal is to make a lasting contribution to improving care for people with mental illness.

My measures to promote diversity

Embracing diversity in research, teaching, and clinical practice – making educational pathways open and accessible to all.
