The Department offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for all urological diseases. Many complex examinations and special procedures are performed on a regular basis, such as tumor surgery on the bladder, prostate, and kidneys, minimally invasive prostate therapies, or minimally invasive endoscopic procedures.

  • Teaching students of medicine, biomedicine, and biology as well as graduate students at the Graduate School for Cellular and Biomedical Sciences (GCB) at the University of Bern, in Switzerland and Leiden, NL
  • Understanding the molecular mechanism associated with geni-urothelial cancer growth and progression
  • Generation of AI drug prediction models
  • Understand the molecular processes of obstructive and neurogenic bladder remodeling and bladder pain syndrome
  • Investigation of pathophysiological processes that contribute to the lower urinary tract dysfunction at the molecular level using patients’ biopsies, in vitro cell-based and in vivo animal models
