The Department of Clinical Chemistry provides clinical services within the Center for Laboratory Medicine, our laboratory specialists ensure a high professional quality of the analyses and effective workflows. A wide range of research services support local clinical research groups and international consortia.

Profile

  • Teaching students of medicine, biomedicine, bioinformatics, biochemistry, pharmacy, biology, epidemiology, as well as graduate students at the Graduate School for Cellular and Biomedical Sciences (GCB)
  • 7 research groups
  • Research focus: translational research, clinical research, and precision medicine
  • Aim: to translate scientific knowledge into clinically useful biomarkers and digital algorithms for more individualized treatments
  • Specific research topics: pharmacogenomics and drug metabolism, liquid biopsy, inherited metabolic diseases, clinical cytomics, thrombosis and haemostasis, and computational medicine
