On December 12, 2025, the Swiss Accreditation Council (AAQ) granted accreditation to the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Human Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Bern's Faculty of Medicine for a period of seven years, subject to four conditions. The University of Bern must report to the AAQ on its compliance with these conditions within 24 months of the decision, i.e. by December 11, 2027.
On March 25, 2022, the AAQ granted accreditation to the Bachelor's degree program in Pharmacy at the Faculty of Science and Master's degree program in Pharmacy at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bern for a period of seven years, subject to two conditions. These conditions have since been complied with.
