My research
Investigation of inflammatory and immunological mechanisms in arteries with a focus on atherosclerosis and atherothrombosis. In particular, I concentrate on the role of chemokines and their receptors in inflamed vessels.
My particular skills/experiences
Contact PI of the CVD Program at DBMR, team and working group leader, (inter)national networks, translational research at the interface with clinical practice.
My measures to promote diversity
I try to create a supportive environment in which all colleagues and young scientists feel valued and taken seriously. I am always available for personal conversations, feedback, or questions—regardless of hierarchy or experience.
